Hat Solway has been inspired by the breathtaking views over Solway Firth, South West of Scotland. Amazing shapes created by the sea waves. Just wanted to present the beautiful sand dunes, rocky hills, sand marches and intertidal flats using abstract modern aproach. It is an award winning hat. I became second finalist in the annual 2020 hat making competition organised by HaTalk e-magazine and my entry withdrew many positive comments by the judges.It is made from sinamay in soft mink and grey colours. The tiny transparent glass beads symbolize the sea foam and sunshine sparks. All are entirely hand sewn. One size, approximately 17cm in diameter at the base.
